Write and singer of the viral song “Dance You Outta My Head” Cat Janice (Catherine Janice Ipsan) died, she left us at the age of 31 years, she was born on January 20, 1993, in Virginia U.S.
Her death is confirmed by her family through a post on Instagram “This Morning, from her childhood home and surrounded by her loving family, Catherine peacefully entered the light and love of her heavenly creator.”
“We are eternally thankful for the outpouring of love that Catherine and our family have received over the past few months, Cat saw her music go places she never expected and rests in the peace of knowing her music. This would not have been possible without all of you.”
Recently she went viral for the song “Dance You Outta My Head” (released on TikTok) to dedicate to her son. The Song topped 40 Billboard Charting artist on Hot Dance/Electronic and at no. 11 on Digital Sales. She shared the screenshot of a billboard in a social media post.
As she has been suffering from Sarcoma (a rare type of cancerous tumour) since March 2022, she took radiation therapy and chemotherapy, but after some time in May 2023, she got infected by cancer in her lungs. This could be the most probable reason for her death, as her family have not revealed the reason for the death.
Cat Janice’s Life and Career
She learned Piano and Violin at an early age and she took nearly 14 years of classical training in music, during which she joined theatrical production, Jazz and Orchestra. She started writing music at the age of 12 Years only. She got the Washington Area Music Award in the category of Best Rock Artist. Her song “Dance You Outta My Head” got the Robert Allen Award from the ASCAP Foundation.
