A Longtime NFL reporter for ESPN Chris Mortensen died at 72 on Sunday morning, the family confirmed.
Chris Mortensen started his career with Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Falcons and the NFL for Atlanta, after that he worked for “National Sports Daily”, and after the permanent closing of “National Sports Daily” he joined ESPN in 1991. “SportsCenter” is the main show where he had served for a long time at ESPN.

He was suffering from esophageal cancer, which he already revealed in 2016, recently he wrote on “X” that “I made a decision to step away from ESPN and focus on my health, family and faith.”
In April 2023 he got retired from ESPN as a reporter.

Mortensen was born on November 7, 1951, at in Torrance California U.S., he attended North Torrance High School in Torrance, California and EI Camino College. Later on, he served in the army during the Vietnam War.
