Rebecca Grossman was found guilty on Friday in Van Nuys Courtroom for a brother hit-and-run case by a Los Angeles County jury. A nine-man and three-woman panel took nearly two days to deliver the verdict.
The jury stated, “This decision underscores our commitment to holding accountable those who drive with disregard for human life,” continuing “We know that this guilty verdict can never replace their lives but we hope it may provide some peace for the Iskander family as they continue a life-long journey of healing from this tragedy.
Grossman was convicted on all charges related to the incident:
- Two felony charges of second-degree murder
- Two felony charges of gross vehicular manslaughter
- One felony charge of hit-and-run driving resulting in death
Grossman’s attorney ‘Tony Buzbee’ said, that retired baseball player Scott Erickson‘s car hit Jacoba and Mark but Erickson has strongly denied it.
This incident happened on the evening of Sep. 29, 2020, when Grossman was driving her car at 81mph and suddenly she could not recognize the two brothers, Mark and Jacob, hit both of them as per the Data recorder evidence presented by prosecutors.”
Jamie Castro Deputy District Attorney said In closing arguments that “This was not a tragic accident,” “This was murder.”
