Chole Cravalho Auli’I born on November 22, 2000, is an American actress. She made her acting debut in Disney’s animated musical movie “Moana” as the voice of the Moana. She has starred in the drama series “Rise”, the drama film “All Together Now” 2020, the supernatural “Darby and The Dead” and the science fiction series “The Power” 2023. Worked with Disney, NBC, Netflix, and Amazon Prime.

Early Life of Carvalho Auli’l

Auli’l was born in Kohala, Hawaii. Her parents are Cathleen Puanani Carvalho and Dwayne Cravalho. She is natively belonging to Hawaiian Puerto Rican, Portuguese, Chinese, and Irish descent. She made her debut when she was in her first year of high school and living with her mother in Mililani, Hawaii, and was singing soprano in the glee club at Kamehameha School’s Kapalama.

She started her career with the big successful animated musical movie “Moana” in 2016. She has stated in the past that she was not going to give audition for this movie. As she was thinking that many great submissions were already done. In a Charity video contest in “Oahu”, she was discovered by an agent who took her to Los Angeles to audition for the role. She was the last person to audition for the role out of hundreds of actresses.

In 2017 she was cast in “Rise” the NBC drama series which was premiered on March 13, 2018, but due to low ratings, the series was canceled. As Carvalho earlier announced she was going to reprise the role of Moana in the animated musical movie which was the first Hawaiian language dubbed Disney movie. The Moana was premiered on June 10, 2018.

Later on, in 2019 Cravalho Portrayed “Ariel” in ABC’s “The Little Mermaid Live!”

Her series of work includes “All Together Now,” “Actin for a Cause,” “The Importance of Being Earnest,” “Hamlet,” “Pride and Prejudice,” “Ferries Bueller’s Day off.”

Recently She was assumed to be in Moana 2 but she stated that she would not reprise the role of Moana. She stated “I feel important to me to pass the baton to the next young woman of Pacific Island descent.”
